Like the splits on your shots. I had not thought about putting the 2D and DI in 1/4 screen. I have the SI on top and DI on bottom. I have an HDS7 touch and am still getting use to it. What kind of unit is yours??
Didn't get on the water till after 2:00, so not really time to fish. We went all the way from the dam to Morgan's Creek (up past Farrington Bridge) today looking for crappie. I have a number of screenshots below to give you some ideas of where the fish are right now. With a warm-up coming this week, I can just about guarantee you that by next Saturday these pictures will be outdated as the crappie will start a big move. Most water was 43-45, although found one spot at 50. As you would imagine, it was full of baitfish and crappie. I don't have a picture of that spot.
I arranged the shots from shallow to deep. We went up Bush Creek and No Name to the upper ends and absolutely zero fish. Give them a few days and they will be there. It looks like there are clouds of shad in some of the shots, which is a very good sign. Some of these shots were taken were large numbers of gulls were feeding, so looking at these pictures explains why.
This picture states 4.6, but look at the side bars. It is more like 13.

Mark 1:17 ...I will make you fishers of men
On falls there were a lot of gulls diving for shad. I am guessing that they were not dying but coming up top to get warm. What did you see?
Cool! Thanks for the post
We didn't put a hook in the water at all. This was purely a reconnaissance mission to see where the crappie had moved to during the past three weeks of snow and ice. They are definitely on the move and so are the shad. We saw lots of gulls, but did not see any shad floating up to the surface like I have seen in past years. I think they are on top because the surface temperature is warming up.
We are using the Humminbird Onix 8. We have the 360 Imaging, but I did not use it at all yesterday. For finding fish, I like the shots you see above. When actually fishing, I will switch over to just 2D and DI. The last shot is a good example of how I am still trying to learn the equipment. Clearly from the 2D fish arc's, I would be putting out my rods. From the SI and DI, you can see there are lots of fish, but do not help you see the size like 2D. If you read the post from Chief earlier in the week, I think the last shot is near where he was fishing and I can see why now.
Cool shots!
Thanks for the report.
