    Papadave,the fish on the top is a white bass the bottom a white perch.Notice the black lines/stripes on the white bass,,none on the perch.The three in your picture,I can see the stripes on em so thats why I said you had white bass..Either way thats a nice haul of fish and once again thanks for sharing the report and pictures.We dont hardly have any white bass in my area anymore.

Size:  17.4 KBWould you guys call this one a perch or a white bass? I think it looks like a white bass but it is listed as the NC state record for white perch caught in falls like. When you have them side by side they are usually easy to tell apart but I have seen more than a few that looked liked hybrid bass/perch

    That one is easily a perch, the mouth gives it away. The way I tell on the water is a perch will do everything possible to stick you with something ... especially the spikes on the gill plates. A white bass just don't act that way.
