    Default Warning !!!!!TuckerTown Ramp

Decided to check out Tuckertown and put in at 49 ramp. Rolled under the license plate on the way in. Straightened the plate. Rolled it under again while backing in to load. This was at two different areas of the same ramp. Got a piece of my turbo prop hanging on one of these rocks. Noticed a new sign warning of shallow ramp conditions and possible prop damage. Don't ever remember seeing this sign in past years. Me thinks they have dumped some very large rocks as a quick fix and threw up a sign after people complained about tearing up their stuff. Be careful.

Thanks for the warning. Had given some thought to going there on Saturday. Hadn't been anywhere in a couple of months. How did you do with the fish?

Chuck I think you might be all right at the second ramp with your boat unless they have "fixed" it also. Its been years since I've been on the lake. I just never had a problem at this ramp before. You will do fine with the fish if quality isn't a factor. Typical Yadkin chain lake, over fished, under managed, and whatever that black crap is all over the bottom.

Newly smokey has a low trailer you might need to try the lower ramp as well. Glad you got that stuff taken care of. Motors is costly Man. Props are costly to. This thing sells for more than my first boat. Hoping to get it reworked.

And at the flat creek ramp the buzzards will swarm your truck and eat the rubber around your wipers. Anybody know the deal with all these snail shells floating from high rock to tillery? And yall ever seen a mayfly hatch this strong? Fish must be gorging on them.

Flat Creek is bad for getting a converter sliced off as well Capt. K. I missed the hatch nursing a bad ankle but the major half of the cork masters was there. He said the water was covered up around swearing. He said it was the largest he had ever seen and He's even older than me. Several of the crappie had a belly full and some had none at all. As far as the snails I have seen them heavy in Badin for the last several years up river. Haven't seen the buzzards yet but the "town" is off my go to list for a while so maybe my wiper blades are safe.

There is a lot of huge rocks @ 49 ramp. I watched them put them in with a track loader. Somewhere i have pictures of them working on the ramps there. Bum job of repairing that ramp. Several props and trolling motors were damaged there.

I saw something on the news about a week ago concerning the buzzards at TT. Causing quite a bit of problems. They hung both dead and fake buzzards from poles in the area. Not sure if it works but they they will keep them out there for as long as it takes.
I only fish the two best days of the year, when its raining and when its not!
