    Default Zach on the Cape Fear


    My friend Mike Taylor of Taylor's Taxidermy called and wanted to fish on Friday. Unfortunately I was working, but Zach got to tag along with him and Jesse Jones for a day of catfishing on the Cape Fear. We hadn't been there in quite some time, but they did ok regardless. Ended up catching 6 between a few pounds up to the best one, this 31 lbr. Not Zach's PB, but he was happy with it. LOL The others were mostly Channels, with one other small Flathead. Water temp was 60 -61 degrees and the color was pretty good.

    Nice work Zach! I love fishing for catfish on the Cape Fear and up into the Haw and Deep Rivers. Thanks for sharing your day with us.

    Nah, we mostly catch, picture, and release. If we're going to keep them we usually keep the smaller 2-5lbrs.
