    Default Cane creek 4-30

Had a small amount of time that I could fish today so off I went to the closest place,Cane creek.Got on the water close to 9 and fought the wind till noon.It was cloudy, and misty.I longlined 1/16 oz jigs.Kept a limit, caught fish fom 4 inches to 12 or so inches(way more of the little ones than the bigger ones). Most fis caught in 15 foot + water..9 catfish also, channels, whites and bullheads with a channel bout 2 lb the biggest(and tangled up the most of my stuff. All in all the lord blessed me with a good day on the water. It was my first crappie fishing trip of the year.

Yes Sir he is alive,I put him back after the picture.Theres a 8 inch size limit .You can clearly see with the comparison with the 1 1/2" slider jig that he isnt colse to 8 in.

Good report, Sounds like the last trip I made. I have had better luck with bigger fish in the late summer early fall at Cane Creek.
