I think the store I Fayetteville will close soon. It has a fishing center but it is very high priced. It is a gun super store but it never has ammo. They always say they are sold out. Come back Thursday. I say support your local tackle shops and use them to order things they don't have in stock.

I myself am not having much of an issue finding any .22. Picked up 2 bricks no problem at dicks. Picked up several boxes at bass pro, walmart and academy over the last few months....yea i do know a few people that work at said stores, but never had to wait in line for it....and if anyone wants any 9mm i picked up 2 100 rd targeg packs for a friend for $35 each that bailed on me...$40 per to cover tax and its yours.

The .22 im findinf is marked up slightly but not all that bad.

I agree with this. I cancelled an order I had for a 9mm Glock because of that reason. Decided to get a Remingon 870 tactical. Plenty of bird shot out there (worse case). As for Gander - we got one in Raleigh. It has it all (including lines 8 deep at the firearms tables), but didn't seem as nice as the one in Fayetteville. However, now we are getting a BassPro, so maybe there will be some competition.

I feel your pain. However on the plus side, Bass Pro Shops is coming to Cary. Whoppee!

Went Sat. morning. Monroe had plenty of ammo at reasionable prices. Now the .22s were crazy. Remington 525 count boxes for 24.95 with a limit of 5 boxes. left at 10:30 and they hade a few left. Plenty of 9mm, 45,223, etc.
Kinda disappointed though. no fishing tackle.
