Hey man....I know this prolly won't help you out....I was on Norman today trolling for striper and caught a 12.5 and a 14 inch crappie near the mouth of the little cut through beside the island at Stumpy.....bout 20ft deep in over 40ft of water.......Near a ball of bait........When I try to catch crappie I can't....So I try for striper to catch crappie.....just a lil backwards for me........lol

I am not an expert, but when I dropped down to 4lb test and fished arond docks in 12-20 feet of water or find submered brush my catch increased.

I planned on going today but got some kind of a bug saturday night. Good luck

Crappie fished yesterday at Norman as well. Caught a ton of small bass and quite a few perch. Not one single crappie. I don't get it.

t.h.setter,,,yes do quite a bit and wondering myself about the fish kill, though i never heard of a major kill this year maybe i missed that news...last winter had a ball out there in that same area you talked about,,trolln' leadcore..went to hickory this past sat caught few on downriggers and lost a couple that was absolutely rippn the drag..hopefully them hybrids on norman grew up over summer and will make up for any striper kill....

another big fish kill happened on norman this summer....they felt the need to keep it quiet this year because of all the negative publicity.

Yea....I heard around 900 is what they found.....But thats all that I know.....Do you know about the meeting tomorrow night in Mooresville about stocking stripers in LKN? Suppose to be with the wildlife commission and talking about stocking Hybrids in the Lake....
