good to see a c.c'er helping a fellow boater in trouble! MAY YOUR FISHING DAYS BE BLESSED!! bet he wouldn't have helped you out
Interesting day. Started off good as I got a good "count" when I got minnows. They also lived much better today. Started off back at Marker 12. One small bass and a small catfish. Decided to head to state park just north of the 150 bridge. That's a big cove and I didn't have my depth finder on the boat so I just found a spot that looked to have a pretty steep back and not too close to the main channel. Caught one small bass, and decided to head back up towards marker 12. We did drop our minnows around the bridge pilings on the way back, but nothing. So back at marker 12, we caught about 6 bass and a perch about the time we heard some guy yellling and waving a paddle about 200 yards away. PUlled up and headed over - boat cut off. Now this was about a 26' ski type boat with a cabin up front, so it was pretty big - much bigger than my 14' Quachita with 35hp Johnson. Well, we towed the guy for about 45 minutes back to his friends pier and then headed back to marker 12 to catch a few more bass. No crappie at all today. We quit @ 4:30 to head to my son's soccer game. We're going to give it a try again tomorrow up around Hager's Creek. If up that way, give a look for the green fishing boat.

That's awesome. I have been very appreciative before to someone that took time out of their fishing to help me. I hope you have the best day ever and catch a prize.
"Be Ye Fishers of Men" You catch them- He will clean them
Good call. Always assist a fellow boater in need.
Fished yesterday. Caught a ton of bass 8"-15" which were alot of fune on 4lb test. Caught some perch as well. Not a single crappie though. When do you guys start catching them back in the coves/creeks again>
Thanks
