I was looking for information as to how to get out the otoliths to determine the crappie's age, I figured since I'm killing a bunch right now with the spawn going I may as well gain some more information. I came across this thread and thought it may be of interest to some of you. Since it is 4 1/2 years old if anyone has any thing to add as to how to go about aging a crappie I'd like to know.

I’m just starting to pull a few otoliths in an attempt to age the crappie in my pond. How old would you guess these are?
