    Question On-board charger question

I know I will get many answers, but in ya'll's opinion what are some of the better on-board chargers? I am leaning towards a Dual Pro #RS2. It has 2 banks that are 6 amps each. I know there are many premium models out there that are $200.00 to $300.00 and up, but I am looking at something in the $100.00 to $150.00 range. All input will be appreciated. My current unit dropped one bank after 8 years of use. it is a Bass Pro brand.

I've got a single bank dual pro brand on my starter battery now, it was on the trolling motor batts in my last boat. No issues, been using it for 6-7 years total. The dual bank Minnkota I have on trollers is good too. But I can't tell any difference in the performance or anything between the two brands, both do their job and the batteries are charged the next day.

I have had the bass pro brand 3 bank charger for about 6 years and the only problems were a couple of times inline fuses were the culprit. Water condensation, or whatever caused that and nothing to do with the charger. Minn Kota imo makes the best charger and trolling motors in the business but I can't pay those prices. The 3 bank I have is a 5/5/5 and all three of my batteries are fully charged in about 5-7 hours. Hope that helps a little.

Ive had the model that you are looking at for about 2 years now and the only problem I've had was with it not charging my trolling battery to full capacity. However that issue was because of a faulty battery not charger.

Thanks for the question Kellog, and the responses guys. I am looking at the BPS charger that's on sale but was a little unsure about it. This thread has helped to make up my mind.

BPS charger for price for sure. Made by dual pro, had mine for 4yrs and killed it my self by being stupid. Called dual pro and since it was out of warranty sold me a new one at discounted price.
