Pretty cool picture there kunes. He's got a better vantage point without even having to get wet until he sees one to pounce on.

Here is the story. He was there when we arrived, I thought for sure he would fly off, wrong! We got to catching fish one after another and I noticed every time we pulled a fish out of the water , he would raise his head and watch us like a hawk, So I held a crappie up and shook it in front of him, dang, here he come, with in 2 feet of me , but it was a keeper , so I put it in the hole. The next small crappie we caught was about 8 inches, so Isaac threw it on the dock in front of him, he almost caught it in mid air, he swallowed it whole. Then he came back over, just waiting, then we caught another one, well he swallowed it whole, so that got me thinking, I asked Isaac , wonder how many he could eat at one time? Isaac said, well lets just see. Then we caught another one, he caught it in mid air and swallow it. Then another one, then he left as soon as he swallowed it, walked all the way to the bank and went up on the hill beside a house and stood in the sun , never moved while we were there, which was about another hour. I think he eat too much, because He didn't look like he felt to good after that.
A few years ago, while I was spider rigging at moss, there was a duck that kept coming around me eating the minnows that fell off when I caught a fish, well. I decided to give him a few dead ones, he would catch them in the air, then for a few weeks, he was there every time I went, he would jump up on boat and wait for me to give him minnows. But something happened to him, never saw him again. I got use to him being there , He would follow me all around that cove. Never grumbled about anything, A real good fishing partner.
Now, I wonder how long it will take him to digest that many fish? will he want anything else to eat in the next few days? I would think it would take 4 or 5 days to digest them. if not longer.
