Thread: Deer season

Hey All,
Glad to see most are getting deer,Im up to 17 now but if you have ever been in the woods in the summertime and there is nothing ,i mean not a thing green from 5 feet high all the way to the ground and every deer you see has there ribs sticking out and no kidney fat you would know exactly why we do this.I wish every one would shoot 2 or 3 does before you shoot a buck.the 10 pointer i killed this year was the first buck that i shot in 5 years and i let another 10 pointer walk that i think was bigger than the one i killed.As far as tips on hunting,first thing is you have to hunt where the deer are,IF YOU DO WHAT YOU ALWAYS DO YOU'LL GET WHAT YOU ALWAYS GOT!!!!!i have bowhunted for 44 years and havent shot a gun scince 1989 so i have kinda developd a feel for wher to hunt.not braggin but the numbers kinda tell you that i know what im doin in the deer woods and I wouldnt do anythng bad for this sport>every deer i shoot is leagal and by the book,i think im probably one the most ehtical bowhunters around,life time member of nc bowhunter assoc.All the deer i take are utilized by my family and friends.

I've shot 2 does and my son shot 2 does and a 7 pt this friday. I've killed 7 hogs and 4 coyotes this year. All in Lancaster Co SC. Got all the meat and sausage we need and still give away 4 hogs. Now its time to fish...............
