Go for the I-pilot. I love mine because I don't have to worry so much about boat control anymore. When you get to the spot you wish to fish just press the spotlock button and have fun fishing. PopPop and Rapala#1 have fished with me since I installed it on my Riptide SP and they will verify what I said. In heavy wind the boat will move around some, but it will always bring the boat back to the spot you set and keep you in that area.

Well I ordered my new trolling motor its not an I-Pilot but it is a Minn Kota. If anyone has use for a 46 lb thrust motor guide that needs new speed coils (approx $150.00 to fix) let me know. I will part with it for a VERY fair price, or just enough to cover my gas costs.

My son is looking for one for his bass boat. A little out of his budget right now but I'll tell him about it.
BTW, just curious, who works on your boat?

Fishermans Friend is actually the one who quoted me the repairs. Only one in the area I could find.

Other than that the only person who has done work on my boat is evenheart marine and I wasnt very happy with them. So far I havent had any issues besides my trailer lights and now the trolling motor.

    10-4!
I'll tell him and get back with you. Reason I asked, my boat repair guy has a place near Badin and was going to be up grading one of his customers trolling motors that had a 70lb. thrust and was only 3-4 yrs. old. He said that he would ask him how much he wanted for it and let me know. Didn't know if it was you.
