    Default 2 limits, 2 hrs Norman 1-18 nitestalk


    couldnt find anyone spur of the moment to go on a short striper stalk with me on norman tonight, so as i often do, i went by myself!

    make a long story short, caught my 4 fish Norman striper limit...nothing big between 16 1/2 - 19 inches, and a 5 fish limit that would win any Norman Green Carp tournament including a spotted bass im guessing was touching 5 lbs...im against keeping large green carp, but unfortunaly she woofed down my crankbait and was pouring blood before i could even get a hold of her.

    all fish caught on the "secret norman nighttime plug"

    was a very pleasant evening out there! never even needed to put on my jacket or bibs.

    might take a pic of the green carp tomorrow to get GUTBUCKET drowling over some big spots!

    you did better than us in the ocean. Water was cold - 38-39 degrees and glassy calm. One undersized striper kept the day from being just a wonderful boat ride.

    green carp is just that....a green carp! :D you know one of those nasty critters that are green, average 1-2 lbs, but there are larger specimans out there. when you hook them, they tend to jump out of the water many times, until you lip those large bucket mouths! they dend to be a neucense to crappie fisherman by breaking/tangling lines and more times then not released.

    some of the others happen to call them largemouth bass, or something like that. a term ive never heard of on this board! :D
