In the kayak world, the Ranger equivalent would be a Jackson Cuda or Hobie Pro Angler.

In my world that would mean the wife shooting me or chasing me like this.

I have looked the Hobie models over several times. They would make a great fishing platform. I am 100% sure my wife would let me have one if I sold the Ranger.

Just saying, once you go Ranger, you have to have the best in everything. I do pretty well in my $700 Mad River Synergy 14' and since it is pretty efficient, I can cover some miles pretty quick.

No, this is not the same kayak I do the MR340 in.

Check with KC Paddler for older model close outs.

I'm in. Sounds like fun! If it takes off, maybe we could do a couple a year.

Any of the area's mentioned work for me.

If you want to venture north, Watkin's Mill State Park would be a great place for this. The lake is 100 acres and you could cover it all. The lake has too many crappie and I'd be thrilled if you all took home a limit of 8 inchers.

With the warmer temps lately, it has me thinking about getting the yak out! Will be my first spawn in the Yak. Looking forward to it, and the kayak tournaments.

Mike, have you figured out a rigging set up yet?
