Great reminder! Praying for a full recovery
Never hurts to have a reminder to bring awareness that 'Stuff Happens'.
Feller here at work has a son that was fishing up at Stockton.
Hydraulic steering failed and ejected driver and passenger from the boat.
Kill switch slipped out of his hand / off his wrist.
The boat continued in slow circles. My friend's son suffered an extreme amount of damage to his hand from the prop.
Throwing up prayers they can save the hand.
Both guys survived, but just a reminder to properly hook up those kill switches in preparation for the unexpected.

That is a good reminder. I'm trying to get better with the life jacket. Never even consider the kill switch! Thanks and praying his son is okay. Keep us posted.
Read the story on another site from the guy who picked them up and ran them to shore, scary deal. Don't do it enough myself but going to try and start doing it every time.
Just like a seat belt. Prayers.
Good reminder, I always wear my PFD, but do forget the kill switch sometimes, ok most of the time.
Colorado acquaintance was just thrown from what is normally thought of as a very safe deep vee fiberglass boat. It was brand new. Fortunately for him another fisherman used his own boat to deflect it away, boat was circling and just a matter of time before it got him. I know of a few that haven’t been as lucky through the years. Attach the kill lanyard to your life vest every time,,,,,ahem Joe?
Thanks for the reminder, it’s always better to be safe than sorry.

Update for us, my Thursday night bass tourney partner never wears the kills switch, asked last night and it was used.
I guess I always had the feeling the hot foot would not let it run past an idle but never hurts to have the back up. That' what it was put there for!
