Hookin'&Cookin' got everything taken care of for us last year. They may not be able to make it this year. Here is the info for the tent company we used last year. Big T Tents 816 861 4999. They thought we had a 20x40 last year. I will look back and see if I can find that info on an old thread. Who wants to take the lead on getting us some pricing on a tent. I will find the size we had last year to verify. I believe it was around $1200-$1300 with out the sides. We have $1500 to play with.

Ok it was a 20x30 and we could have gotten it for $1200 if we had them leave it and not had to come down to tear it down. Next issue is finding a place to store it between camps. Gordon had offered to keep it in his storage unit near Bucksaw. But I believe he is giving up his unit after his big move. Any ideas?

If it rains and the tent is wet it would have to be set up and allowed to dry before storing. Also takes up a good bit of space, where would it, poles, etc. be stored?
    Just sayin'. Not being negative.
I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.

I think its a great idea, just realize that there will be years that the rain will fall! And after dealing with fireworks tents please be aware that the tent can't be put up wet. If it is it will need to be laided back out and be allowed to totally dry. And I would also check to see if the tent is fire rated or not since it will be used in a public setting.

I called Big T Tents at lunch today. The price for a used couple of years old tent top in 20x30 is $1200, poles side $150 and middle $90 (website says for used tend side poles and stakes included may be able to save $150), and to add sides is $450. Looks like we would have just enough for the tent and poles, maybe a little short with tax. From looking at the website we could get a new one for just a little more, top is the same then you need to buy stakes and poles. It looks like it would come with a 1 year warranty and they would possibly set it up the first time!

    USED TENTS

Good used tops would be same price as the new, but would include the side poles and stakes. These tops would only be 2-3 years old and not show much wear, stains or patches. Tops more used would be priced according to the wear, stain and patching. Contact us for specific size and level of use and availablility.

    OTHER TERMS
The new and good used tents would come with a 1 year warranty for material and workmanship. They also may include delivery and initial installation if within 8 hr. drive of Kansas City Mo. If you need a specific custom made tent, please call for pricing and timing. We do have the ability to have printed your own name or logo. If you desire certain segment sizes, let us know your needs. No extra charge for joints. We manufacture quality tents with critically placed reinforcement, all heat welded seams, minimum perforations (only around center & side Poles), excellent quality 16 oz. U.S. made vinyl and with all ropes ready for installation sewed on. Flame resistant certificates will be applied to each tent or segment of tent. One unique aspect of our tents is you do get the actual length or more when you order a tent that is segmented. Our process will actually give you 3+ inches at each seam rather than deduct 3-6 inches at each seam. On a 4 or 5 segmented tent, the difference is significant.

What's the thoughts on the info Green Wing came up with from Big T Tents? We could always get the used 20x30 with the needed poles for this camp. Then pass the hat at spring camp and raise the money needed for the side walls. I really think the side walls would be nice. I have side walls for my 10x10 pop up canopy that could be used to cover one side of this one to block the wind rain of needed. Someone may have a large tarp or two that could be used also. I am up for whatever everyone decides. I would like to get rid of this cash before I end up buying a new trolling motor or fish finder with it

I say get it. We can improve on it once we have it. And tarps would work for sides if needed till we get the sides bought
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

Thanks Greenwing for the calls to Big T. Sounds fine with me.

I would agree with Hogster 1. Lets Gitter Done!

They are local and if they would set it up the first time would be a Plus.

Would be great if some people could be there to watch and if possible video it for future training.
