    Default trolling motor broke

First it was the trailer jack on 1 boat trailer. Then the transducer on the other boat. Got new jack on. waiting for transducer. suppose to be here today. Now the trolling motor. It is an OLD motor that my brother in law gave us. It replaced a Motor guide that the shaft bent on.
Been having trouble for a while with trolling motor. Yesterday it wouldn't run. YES battery was charged. Nothing would happen. Oh well guess I will go shopping. Have to be in the city thursday for dr.s apt. so afterwards I will go and find a trolling motor at either Bass Pro or Cabela's. Going to call in the next day or two to see if either place has an in store sale going on. Nothing on sale brochures on line. My husbands co-workers can't believe I go and buy stuff like this on my own without husband being there. He tells them she knows what we want as good as I do and makes good decisions. I went and got our new boat trailer on my own and he loves it.

since you're going to be at cabella's, you might try running over to tri-state trollingmotor. they are another 15 minutes north of cabella's, 270 north to limberg then north half mile or so... call them for exact directions and store hours. when I have priced around their prices are usually cheaper than other stores' sale prices and you get much better customer service.

Unless a seal has leaked water into the motor itself, its probably nothing more than a little corrosion on wire ends, or possibly the brushes on the armature. If the motor just quit, it's probably an easy fix. I would check into that before jumping in and buying an other one. Probably a cheaper fix....

Picked up a new one last night at Wally World. Didn't want to mess with trying to fix the other one. It is OLD.
