    Default My Dog, My Friend.

He was more than my dog, he was really my adventure buddy. I miss him. He died in my arms about a month ago. We crossed the Continental Divide, fished, hunted pheasants, hiked, kayaked and played a ton of ball. He would always be by my side, help me gather fire wood, play hide and seek in the woods, and even helped me coaching baseball (he showed my outfielders the correct route to take). I adopted him after the breeder gave him up as a puppy because he was "too ugly of a border collie to sell". He made me a better person. He was on my mind tonight and just needed to vent.

Sorry to hear that, Scott....after 2+ years of mourning the loss of our dog, we recently got another.

He reminds me so much of our old dog that I miss my old dog all over again!

a man cannot put into words the loss of his dog.He is always there, watching you waiting for u to play fetch a stick or just to go,he doesn't care where just to go.I have lost a few over the years and at each loss emotions kick in at any time that u cannot control I feel your pain. it seems to never go away. Best thing Ive found is to get another . Anew pup will never take his place but will fill a void. The saying A man"s best friend is deffinatly true!

They are always there for you and never complain. My pups have helped me thru some tough times in the past. Sorry for your loss.

He might have been "too ugly to sell as a border collie" to the breeder, but he was priceless to you...that's all that matters. I think if you look up the definition of "unconditional love" in the dictionary, you might find a pic of your dog there. Be proud that you gave him a best friend.
