Wow, Frank, that bites. We had our fish one dock away from you this weekend iced down in a cooler. Even talked about it at night and reassured ourselves that surely no one would take 'em. Fortunately, they didn't. But that's a little close for comfort. Sorry you lost 'em.

Spoonman That Would Not Fit Into The Rules And Regs Of The Estate. Crappieknocker Would Have To Paint Around It. No Thanks
Don't mean to be a downer to all the thief bashing but on the Little Ni we have a huge problem with the same thing. Only thing is it otters... If you don't have a locking fish basket it will get cleaned out by them while you are on the dock. Mostly they work at night but I would bet money that was what it was unless you saw someone on your dock...
It's not duck season so I have to do something... :D

I had that happen to me once by raccoons. They pulled the basket up and opened the bottom and cleaned it out. Happened at the old Tempo's Fishing Resort in the Glaize area.
Worst yet several years ago my brother left some crappie in his livewell over night only to find his boat torn up by raccoons trying to get them out.
If someone really did steal them, they would be the lowest of the low out
there.
Nothing better than getting out on the water.
ok ok ok
this may not have happened to you but we had yet to rig up our basket and were having to use a stringer for a couple months on our dock at LOZ
well we sort of did the same thing, caught some fish, went to the house for awhile, returned to the dock to find the stringer empty
it happened about 5 times......
we thought it could have been several things......
a mink
raccoon
otter
etc etc
till one day we caught the culprit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a damn turkey vulchur.....thats right
a damn buzzard
and they are smart!
Man I'd be hotter than a firecracker!!!!!!!!!!
