Default MO-DNR building at 1730 East Elm in JC ambushed by Deer

I got a email on this. Not my account of what happened.

"We had an unexpected visitor to our office yesterday. A deer jumped through one of the windows and was running loose between the cubicles.
A few people were in the office working and tried to open doors and let the
deer out. The deer did not take the opportunity to exit the building and
instead rummaged through several cubicles before taking refuge in one of the
back offices. Animal Control had to come and tranquilize the deer and then
they drug it outside and turned it loose. After coming to, the deer headed for the woods behind the office. The deer sustained minor injuries from jumping through the window and left blood in several places around the office. I guess I should start deer hunting at work.

    Here are some pictures. "

You gotta love that 3rd picture down, the look of bewilderment and the policeman taking pictures - wild times at the office for sure.

I work in the office of a chemical company in KCK. Couple years ago we had a similar incident on a weekend. Dumb deer jumped through a huge plate glass window to get into the cafeteria, then through the window of a door to the warehouse. Prior to that she completely trashed a couple offices and bled all over the place.

They got her out of the warehouse eventually, but come Monday morning she was still bedded down on the property. Until someone headed toward her. Then she jumped up and leapt over the huge chainlink/barbed wire fence like nothing ever happened.

Got some of the footage on our security cameras. Pretty amazing stuff.

What a story! That's the kind of stuff that happens when nobody will let you hunt on their land.
