I know a couple of folks that fish it regularly and they haven't been doing any good. We haven't gone for several months as we've been going to Truman. Sorry.
I have a family trip to Twain next week. I've been twice earlier in the month and it ain't been good. Any recent reports?

Hi Veteran
Went last Sunday. Put in at Stoutsville and went north. We didn't catch a lot of fish but what we did catch were nice. Caught one 12" about a pound and one 13" at a 1-1/4 lb. Used blk/chart 2" beaver tails. Hope to go again Sunday or Monday. Maybe we'll see you up there. Will be in a blue and white Ranger with a 150 Johnson with a Carpenter's Union Emblem on the Transom.
Good Luck

Probably not going to be good. Some places in northern MO have had 10" of rain in the last 24 hours. The radar shows it has been raining a lot up that way again. I would give South Fork Resort a call or the bait shop on highway 19. Can't remember the name of the bait shop but the older lady that works there seems to be pretty good oat telling you the truth on what is going on.
Odie knows his stuff, after 10 inches and at least a 4 ft rise i will give it a break, bruce
USGS Real-Time Water Data for USGS 05507700 Mark Twain Lake near Center, MO
637!! That may even close the high water ramps! If a buddy hadn't backed out, I was gonna be there on Saturday . . . luckily I skipped and missed seeing it rise 5 FEET in one day!
I just saw where it might set a new record high for the lake. Now they say that the menants of hurricane Dolly are headed here. I would love to see what that lakes looks like with all that water. But can't justify the 2 hour drive and the money for gas for that trip.
As about now we have a new record at 639. Fishing was pretty good on Saturday none the less. They are getting ready to turn loose of flood gates and let it out.
