Thumbs up Great day at Truman!

The JJ's and I went fishing with Richard Bowling yesterday out of Bucksaw and had a great time. Thank's JJ's for letting me tag along, I really enjoyed it! Here are the stats 46 very large crappie:D, we could have kept more but we threw the the shorter fish back to grow some more. We did catch a lot of short fish which is a good thing for future years. JJ's have the pictures and I am sure they will post some when they finishing fishing today.

Details: Dead Minnows 14 feet deap on flats in 16 to 22 foot of water. Didn't try any jigs so not sure how they would have worked. Fish were scattered and had to move a lot.

Yep fishing weren't too bad downthere. The wife and I fished Thursday afternoon and all day Friday. Brought home 44 keepers. All good fish. We fished up (way up) Tebo just cuz we hadn't ever fished up there. Caught ours 12-18' deep on minnows in the outer timber on channel points. One or two fish off a tree and move on to the next. Lots of shorts. Better fish came deep.

PSA - We stopped by Long Shoal Marina for more minnows and to cool off for a bit and they have what they call a "scoop" of minnows for $3.95. Gauranteed at least 3 Doz. The first time we stopped it was closer to 6 Doz and the next day it was prolly 4-5 doz of good sized minners.

Also the water they were in was 70 some degrees. If you dump them in the 85 degree surface water from the lake you kill abunch from shock. Need to temper by gradually adding the warmer water till they are acclimated.

    leadshot - That is all I know.
