Why keep defending the Big Oil Company's? It was just reported that the gas consumption in the United States is down for the first time in years. Great news! It was also reported that since demand is down the oil company's have reduced their output of gas at the refiners in order to keep supply down. Now who's controlling the price of gas?

Well, I just can't stay out of this one but maybe I should. I'm encouraged that the vast
majority of those who have commented have it right. The fundamental problem is not the
oil companies. I know that I'm talking to honest decent Americans and I don't want to offend anyone. The democratic party is directly responsible for this mess. I'm not going to restate the reasons, others have done it better than I can. This is not the Democratic party that helped our fathers achieve the American dream. This is not the party of Truman and Kennedy. Our party has been taken over by left wing kooks and
American hating liberals. The democrats are not only on the wrong side of the energy issue
but other issues such as our 2nd amendment rights. What can we do about the price of gas?

Mike- Great post! Its an election year and the democrats do NOT want to see gas prices drop. They want something else to blame Bush and the republicans for so they can get elected. Not only if they take control of the congress and the whitehouse will prices NOT drop but your taxes are going up. Dont believe them that they will only raise taxes on the wealthy and anyway their idea of wealthy is if you make over 20K a year.

Are you serious? Do you, of all people, think all the regular members are dropping like flies do to a debate about an issue that is, or should be, important to us all. You might want to rethink this post.
