Thank you for the warm welcome Bruce, it may be Sunday before I'm able to get back out there but I definitely haven't gotten discouraged on the fishing, its just nice to get out there and away from the city for a bit. I would have to look at the map again to remember the name but I think I have been going by Camp Branch to fish off of the bank, is that the place that has a dock, boat ramp and such connected to highway E? lol I'm obviously new haha. Best of luck to ya!! Thumbs Up

I was wrong, I have been going to Crow's Creek, just north of the park by the dock and boat ramp. I just looked at the map online and seen it had a dock and figured I would try it. I am going to do more research on the map to add more locations to my fishing around the lake as I learn them.

Hi my name is Heath, I'm 31, I moved to Clinton Mo about 3 years ago, big time upland bird hunter where i came from and had to switch hobbies, so I decided to buy a pole and start crappie fishing, and havent put it down since.

Hiya, Heath and welcome to the site!

You moved into an area with some of the best fishing around, and some of the best hunting....just not for quail! But if you ever jump up a "covey" of turkeys, we should check your shorts!!

Hello, my name is Kyle (age 28), I grew up crappie fishing Truman and Smithville Lakes. I haven't got to do much fishing the last 8 years, but now that I'm back in Missouri I am hitting the water as much as possible. I don't consider myself a great crappie fisherman, especially with my long layoff, but I can hold my own most of the time. I've heard great things about this website and y'alls forums. I look foward to learning as much as I can from y'all, and hopefully catching some slabs with you as well.
If you ain't hung up, you aint crappie fishin'
