There’s some great crank bait fishing in Missouri but I’d hate to pick the best one.

I'd say LOZ but I'm not that well traveled and also partial to that lake....

It's funny............I'd always rank Truman as the best crappie lake in Missouri however, rarely do I hear of guys cranking it. Either it's a well kept secret or the rigging/dipping bite is so good year round, people don't mess with it.
Definitely not Mark Twain. Stay far, far away from that little puddle!

I'd say LOZ. Stockton can be excellent as well, but can be hit or miss.
Pomme and Truman are a little sticky to do much cranking.

I would say any lake you try if you can figure out the pattern is as good as any.
I agree with Truman but man it can eat up some crankbaits with all the timber. Gotta learn to find the cleaner spots I guess. LOZ too rough for me but it sounds perfect for the technique. Gonna have to try Stockton then. Had high number days at Twain but that's a lotta driving for less than pound of fillets. Gonna have to try to Stockton
Try the upper end of LOZ. I agree that the lower end, (below Hurricane Deck bridge) is rough. I'm at the 61mm and we have much less traffic. Yes, there still are some bigger boats but it's manageable. Put in at Wig Wam Access from the north, or Brown Bend Access from the south. Both are MDC concrete ramps. Parking is plentiful at Wig Wam. At Brown Bend there are probably spots for 15 rigs. Good luck.
Even a blind pig finds an acorn now and then.......
I'd say LOZ, but then Mark Twain works well too. Of course I would really like to say it's the one I'm fishing on when I'm fishing.......
