Could be headed to 730, hope not but seem to recall seeing it before. I am ok once it crests or starts down. But the rapid rise kicks my rear most every time.

Seen it at 738 years ago,WAY TOO MUCH WATER
graduated from college and moved down here in 1990 so cant say what it was like before that, but fished milfoil mats until the 93 flood. milfoil never returned to the region after that year. you could punch mats on Smithville and truman with a lot of success back then.
we were putting in on the road above the parking lot at bucksaw. the "pavillion" was a ranger dealership and was flooded up to the roof. I have to think that was in the 940's range...I could step out of my boat onto the bluffs on the bend right down from bucksaw...you could drive your boat from ceder creek below bucksaw back to the main lake at the tightwad access down stream and skip the cut though. Ive heard that the water management has changed dramatically since the early 90s but don't know as I wasn't here then. I assume the Milfoil wouldn't have probably been there had it been flooding all the time like it does now...
They have major flooding out in eastern Kansas especially Whicita area. But other areas too. I don't know if that will drain into the Truman watershed. If it does that will take a long time to drain through Truman and LOZ down the Osage and into Missouri. 2 yrs ago the lower Osage ran bank full for a couple of months while they drained the excess water from the lakes.
good luck to those who fish truman and others around there but be safe!
Truman is projecting 50,000 CFS for the forseeable future starting tomorrow! That's amazing....that might be on the news like last time. that's a sight to see
there is a little bit of discussion on the news of another round of significant rain in the KC area again early next week.....
