Yep Clownfish, I totally understand the fixing thing up part. My wife came up here before I did because here work brought her here while I stayed in Florida helping my sister with her husband who had Ahlziemers. An ex truck driver, and a full handful. After he passed and everything started to settle down at sis's, I came up here. Now my wife said she had gotten us a mobile home that was already set up, and was good to go. 36 payments and she was happy. But it needed a few things fixed, nothing major. Nothing that I couldn't fix, and after it was payed for we could put on a piece of property, if that's what I wanted.
Well I think she thinks I'm a miracle worker. Mobile homes have hard pressed board walls, Flexible tubing for pipes, ( have to be careful as some of this mess was recalled for causing cancer)… and particle board flooring. After talking with the guy she got this thing from, he had found it in a field, in storage where it had been a some time, not blocked or braced. Had widows broken, that he and I'm thinking teenagers replaced. The back door didn't fit right, since been fixed, unfortunately with a common house door not a mobile home door, and then it wasn't done right and I get to redo...also the kitchen floor feels like a lake with choppy water looks like, so I get the pleasure of replacing that and at least the sink counter. No holes in the floor, all the plumbing works, windows are where they supposed to be, and no fuses pop when you use something. So I guess it's like it's supposed to be. Just something to do around here everyday. No lack anything to keep me busy. On top of working on the boat, and going fishing when I make the time to do so, "cause it's good for me.....
