Meramec river

I was trying to find places to fish closer to the house and was wondering if many fish the Meramec river near valley park I have gone snagging years ago one time and I know there are places that are like lakes off to the side just would like to know.

I agree. If you come to Franklin or Crawford county there’s a lot less asians to deal with.

there's george winter park of course. I live in valley park but don't get out on meremac much. let us know if you find a good place to go and your experiences.

If you have a prop you won't go very far farther up the river. On weekends from Meramac Caverns up to Steelville it is float city. If you have your own kayak or canoe you might try the Bourbeuse River.

Or if you have a riverpro jet boat.

Yes a lot of jet boats on that river. Boat dealers/repair shops laugh and say the Meramac gives them a lot of business.

I have run from George winter park to the river in the spring one time a long time ago never have been on it since. I knew a guy that would go skiing out there often in the summer but I never went with him.
