    Default tech help?


    I have a 2004 Johnson 90 hp 4 stroke. The owners manual they gave me is for a 60-70 hp. It says the max Rpm is 5500. Are there any mechanics out there who can tell me if thats right?

    The specifications are listed on their web page...follow the link below. For a 90 4 stroker it says max rpms are 5000-6000.

    Man, would not have thought the range to be that high. For a opti it is still 5800. Thought with the 4 stroke, with valves and everything (lot more moving parts) it would be less. Oh well, my ol chevy 350 was yellow lined out at 5500.
