Thread: LOZ report 2/19/2017

Took the wife,daughter,and daughters BF. Put in at Mccubbins point . Waters low. We went up there to bass fish but I brought 4 spinning rods and some crappie jigs just in case the bass werent biting. And they were not for us . Was using the A-rig, jerkbait,crankbait and a underspin swimbait and main lake points and secondary points and had no luck at all getting bit. Did that thing for about 2 hours and nothing. I found a brush pile on a secondary point in 12 ft of water and put on a black and chart bobby garland on a 16th oz pink headed jig and got bit by a crappie on the first dip. the crappie were in the tops of the brush all day. In about 5-7 ft of water we never had to reel just dip the jig. I was using a chart nibblet on the jig as well. Tried other colors but the best bite was black and chart definately...Hope this helps Sorry no pics but we caught around 30 good for us average for most I would say but a fun day for feb!
