I've been using 1/16 oz jighead with a Mr Bullfrog slab buster or BG slab slauer in Electric chicken or blue ice. I also tip my kigs with a char colored crappie niblet.

The colder it gets the small the jig head I use while dock fishing LOZ in the winter. A 32nd works well with Bobby Garland Stroller or Minnow Minder.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

I think my go to on LOZ is orange head 1/16oz. number 4 hook. Superglue a Lake fork blue back shad on and wait for the tick. Make sure you let sink to bottom or close to bottom reel slow. The nibble tip is good too. If you are standing on the dock it never hurts to have a second pole with a slip bobber and a minner.

The larger black crappie are in the upper part of the water column. So this past week if I could get away with it I used a 32nd oz jig. I was shooting docks anywhere from 12-30 fow and the blacks were hitting anywhere from the surface to around 4' down. As the week wore on, the size was getting larger. Color didn't seen to matter much. I was mainly using ice blue or electric chicken. Also fishing large laydowns, they seemed to be hanging just around the thickest part. Water temp was still hovering around 66, so the best is yet to come. Yesterday my best 7 averaged a pound. Plus a lot over 10". So I think you'll have a good week.
