Good looking fish.....always wanted to catch some of those.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Yes it is so different. The northern are wild critters when you get them in the boat. Very careful unhooking them. Husband got 1 hook in palm of hand, 1 in finger and another in pants leg just trying to unhook them. Also use steel leaders. Those teeth will cut mono and braid quicker than scissors. Fire tiger flicker shad caught most fish. Caught a few on minnow and crawler rigs. Husband had one northern actually bite him when he got his finger close. I told him they can be mean critters. Trolling is how we fished. Yellow perch we used bobbers and crawlers.

That would be so much fun Jeff. Have you ever fished up there Jeff? Them northern are so onry they will bite you after in the boat. I use long niddle nose pillars for them. They have more teeth than walleyes do.

Yep toothy critters. One did bite my husband when he got his finger to close. Had to use needle nose to pry mouth open. Lots of yellow perch too but eating size was hard to find. One northern had perch inside it when cleaned and another full of craw dads. Dry ice kept fish solid frozen for two days and one night. Fish in bottom of cooler, dry ice on top and then filled rest of space with towels to keep air out.
