Thread: Report from Saturday @ Truman and Crappie Contest Reminder......

Three of us caught 41 Saturday morning. Fished everywhere....started at Hay Creek and worked our way back to Bucksaw. Throwing road runner with a lime green jig. Bite was consistently slow. Fish seemed scattered from bank to deeper as we also caught a few dipping trees. We left live well on....and bilge pump was broke so it cut my day short. Limped (water-logged) into the boat ramp and needed all my F150 had to get the boat out of H20. It was good to see Bigby and family at the ramp! No worries the pump is fixed now and we are ready for camp! My brother Tim, my son Caleb, Dad's brother Eddie and best buddy Harold will all be down at camp Wednesday night! Speaking of camp....

If you are coming to camp early this is a reminder that Friday we will also host the 2nd ANNUAL BLUE SKEETER MEMORIAL CRAPPIE CONTEST. We have plaques for first and second place. $20.00 per person or $40.00 a boat and all proceeds will go to help a child with Leukemia. Come by campsite A043 to sign-up Wednesday or Thursday evening or stop in at daylight Friday morning to sign-up. Weight-in will be after 5 PM at campsite A043 (or whenever we get in that afternoon). Come fish in memory of our Dad, Grandpa, Brother and Friend! Even if you can't fish consider throwing in a donation in the name of Clifford E. Shanks to support the fight against Leukemia!
