rough start to the day,
dead battery in the truck( door not closed all the way and dome light ran it dead) quick charge and hooked the boat up.
got to water about 9 am left at 12pm (due to technical difficulties.)
dropped some more pvc/wood beds in a new spot before we got started.
a weak cold front moved in overnight 45 degrees this morn and got nice quickly in the low 60's, clear blue bird skies with a north wind,
the fish didn't seem to care
went up the big river to the rock pile were we caught some slabs at yesterday. caught 5 good fish 1 1/2 to 2 lbs before the trolling motor decided to mess up and floated of the spot. (the variable switch went bad i assume and would only work on high if i jumped the wires)
as soon as we get fired back up to get back on it, a bass boat pulled right on top of it a camped out for over 2 hours (the b@st@rds), they did catch some nice bass and i assume they were in a tournament. They were still there when we left. i knew i should have brought a grenade launcher i bet they would have left quickly!
we managed to catch 6 more smaller fish drifting with the wind before we got disgusted and headed home.
same pattern and colors as yesterday, i just wish things would have went a little smoother.
i have no complaints for being able to fish the last several days in 60-70 degree weather, in February and catch a bunch of fish
calling for snow Wednesday haha, it aint pronounced Missouri its pronounced misery.
good luck and tight lines
