I would suggest reading the post started by long poker - our sunday report , headhunter2 - truman lake 9/12,9/13 , or jigging15 - another grand report all of theses are good reads and pictures by some pretty good truman fishing people . Good luck
Looking to go up to Truman on Friday and Saturday. Last couple of times was not able to find them. My son is getting tired of me not putting him on any fish. Where on the lake would be the best part to catch some crappie. Last time I was there people were catching some but they were very tight lipped on where and how deep. Most answers were up the lake or by a tree or by the island. Any help would be appreciate.

before a tournament it can get quiet, stop by the marina and ask, or go back several mounts and read up heck I go back years and read, there use to be great info, but as more and more read the reports it gets harder and harder to figure out where they are fishing, one good thing the old post are as good as if they were posted this year.... luck to ya'
Dunno what this weather will do to them but the fish have been on main lake flatts/channel edges! Fish 8-12 ft down in 10-20 FOW! Better numbers coming down from bucksaw! Good luck!

Truman is not an easy lake to figure out on your own. Even with all the fishing reports in the past its still hard to figure it out for your self. I have learned the most by fishing and talking with other people/guides. Most people don't have the time it takes on the water to figure it out. Fall camp is coming up it would be a good time to talk with others maybe someone would have a open seat in a boat.
It is a tough bite right now. You got to have that touch like Beagle man has. Make sure to fish the trees and brush piles slow right now especially with the cold front coming in. Put it down 8-12 feet and just hold it steady. I would head up towards the power lines if you know where that area is. Good luck.
