Frank, I've done the same thing. Had to wade out waist deep to catch the boat. Tried to fish, but it was very early spring and nearly froze til I could load up. Water temp about 45 deg!! This thread just keeps getting better!!!

Also, if you put trailer slicks on your bunks so your boat slides off easily, be sure and tell your buddy that you did so he won't unhook the winch strap before you get down to the water.
