    Does anybody ever fish below Cannon dam at MTL. If so what is used and what do you catch. Seems like fishing below other dams are good, just never here anything.

    I have fished below cannon dam, caught lots of crappies but have to wade through a lot of dinks to get a mess of 10 inchers. if they were generating you could catch a lot of nice channel cats, and farther downstream some nice flatheads.
    it's been a lot of years, but the good fishing used to be below the re-regulation dam, at bluff view conservation area. I know it was closed for awhile, but I think it's back open. haven't heard if the fishing was as good as it used to be or any good at all.

    There, fixed it for you.

    After the 2008 flood someone told me it looked like a trout park for awhile with anglers fishing shoulder to shoulder below the dam.
