Default Tony Edgar and Ozark Rods. Where are you???????

I am a huge fan of Tony Edgar trolling rods. Over the years I have traded out every make, model and length and switched to Tony Edgar mostly 16 footers. This year his new rods came out with few more eyelets and what seems to be a faster, more sensitive tip. I have two more 14 footers I want to switch out, however, every week for at least 6 weeks now I call Grizzly Jig and they say Sold Out. I have been calling the Ozark Rod phone number and noone ever answers. Grizzly Jig says same thing. I have looked all over the internet for 2 new 16 footers no luck. I hope nothing bad has happened.

Has anyone heard from the good folks is Versailles? Does anyone know where I could find 2 more 16 footers? What other brand most closely feels and fishes like a Tony? How bout a Bucks Graphite Jig Pole instead? Sure would like to keep them all the same tho.

I have started using Southern Crappie Rods. Ed Duke only sells on his website, but if you give him a call, he will give you all of the info you need. They are a great rod. They are light weight but plenty of backbone to swing a 2+ pound crappie in the boat without a net. The tip is similar to a BGJP but the power curve is higher up the back. They are a carbon/kevlar rod. The best thing is shipping is only $15 no matter how many rods you order. Check them out and give Ed a call.

OK I got the story. Once again called all the Ozark numbers. No answer again. I linked to their Facebook and saw that Ozark was still posting. I saw they were linked to Lake Cove Resort. I called them and they passed me on to Lake Zone Bait and I talked with Ed. Great guy. Great customer service. Not sure exactly who owns what but bottom line is Lake Zone at Rend Lake will have 4000 rods in few weeks. They are working out the bugs. I am just glad I can still get my rods. Thier number is 618 629 4103. They are great people. I am worn out. That was like breaking thru the security firewall at the Pentagon.

They did sell to a couple guys in IL. Same rods just new owners. We "Everharts" will have all the trolling rods as soon as they arrive. 12', 14' and 16'. We have the 10' and 12' dipping rods now and will be adding their 6 1/2' and 7 1/2' rods when they arrive along with replacement tips for all of them. The new owners are really getting behind them and pushing the rods. Lots of buzz about them on the tournament trail.
