Default Smithville 4-30 limits beating banks

Fished banks Thursday morning on south end of lake picking up two limits in about 4 hours. All but two were males. The two females eggs were not ready yet. Caught all on southern pro 2" hot grubs, acid rain color. Life is good! Name: jims s5 april30 007.jpg

It's south end of dam about half mile, but I would think about any cove on the lake will start producing!

Got a limit today from 8:00-12:00. Was going to go to Mozingo, but the rain looked to be heavier north of St. Joe compared to south....so south I went. Started hitting some trees 8 feet down and picked up 4- then got into some stained water in the back of a cove/creek and found a sweet spot where I could catch them about 3' deep and finished out my limit. Got a bonus channel cat and a couple whites. Crappie ranged from 10" to a shade under 14". Great day!

About halfway up lake from W ramp in Little Platte arm. A few in Linn Creek- the rest on the other side of the lake.
