Bucksaw or Sparrowfoot
I want to take my two kiddos on a surprise trip on Sunday. Where is the best place to go to get my kiddos so action? They have been asking all Spring to go. Thank you in advance, and I will post a full report with pics.

Some of the guys are catching fish up in the creeks, so you might look at a map to find a place for bank fishing if you don't have a boat. You might be able to get close to the water on an old road. Or you could run up to Smithville for bank fishing, as well.
Minnow
We're catching crappie in 2-3 feet of water Sands Branch, and we found the fish way in the back of the creeks. Have fun with the kiddos, fish were caught on all types of presentations including split shot and single hook with a minnow and then we fished with jigs and minnows, and finally we caught a few eaters on just jigs. Again, have fun and may your line feel some tension.

Bucksaw has been slow for us but you can catch them on the bank. A few here and a few there.

Sparrowfoot will be where the warmer water will be and better spawning action in my opinion.
