    Default Mark Twain

Water temps around Florida area 49 to 51 degrees Monday April 6th, water clarity you can see about 1 foot in main lake, coves not so much. Cloudy all day with temps running in the low 50′s around 7 am to low 60′s by 2 pm. Caught fish about 8 foot down in 10-12 feet of water, spider rigging with minnows and holding a dipping pole with black and chart jig. Jig out produced minnows by far. When cleaning fish noticed everyone fish was stuffed with about 3″ shad. Biggest fish was 13 3/8

Thanks for the report. With the forecast calling for rain all week I'm sure the clarity will drop this week.

Went back to same area Monday April 13th, water has warmed up to 57-58, went back in creek and some coves and water went down to 53. Color about same as a week ago and level real close to same. Fishing not the same Slow only had three small keepers ( threw them back ) No Minnows this time strickly jigs with bl/char body.Depth about same too. Tried shallow didn't get a hit except small bass and a drum. Started around 11:00 quit at 5:00, 67 degrees and windy and overcast
