    Hey Kit,

How did you do Sat? I am going to go to the Pt 15 area on Wed, Fri and Sat. Escape the Black Friday madness!!! I am going to go up, to the three dock and some other stumps I have caught fish around and I will try down around some brush piles I have caught fish around before. Are you doing any good longlining or are you just throwin a jig?

Still poking brush piles with a jig. My father in law is coming down so I may get him out there if he's willing to drown some minnows.
The shad are starting to school up south of Peach so I'm thinking the open water crappie will be right behind.
Warm up at the end of the week may push that out. But water was 49 degrees on saturday and 51 sunday after the rain.

PM me what your boat looks like. Iffin I sees ya, I'll stop and say hey.

I actually caught some good fish below the 76 bridge on Wed and Fri. Did not go Sat. You had to be patient, but I caught several on jigs and minnows. Found some of my long lost stumps on Friday I thought I would never find again, but down scan and gps paid off. I think that it is only a matter of time for the longlining to start. I have several pix. I think I saw your boat near the Virgin Bluff area. Is it a multi species ranger silver with a full windshield? I was right under the bluff. Good luck to you all.

We have to get together and share some of those hot brush piles. It seems that where I have had success is in the brush on the upper side of channel swings up James River, generally below the bridge. I have not been in a couple weeks. Has the crappie started biting out in the channel yet? Have you tried dragging minnows in deeper water?

Didn't go last week. Worked saturday & Fished a Bass tourney on Stockton on Sunday.
Might get out Sunday after Church. I gotta work Saturdays until I get all my paperwork caught up.
Phone doesn't ring in the office on the weekends. Get a lot more done in a lot less time.

I did pretty good on Sat. Got a bit of a late start due to the long arm of the law. BTW, you all better drive the speed limit through the hole in the earth called Galena, MO. They will get your back side for speeding, I can tell you that. I guess the officer was not a crappie fishing geek, because he would have let me go. I did have the boat tied on and was in a big hurry
I started out in Bearden around some submerged stumps that I normally catch em around and did ok. Moved down the lake on some better stumps and started to pick up some pretty good fish. Ended up with 11 good keepers. I did the math and by the time I pay the prosecutor to keep that ticket off my record that amounts to about 17.30 per fish. Boy was those some expensive specks.
