Default Favorite jig/lure for casting during the spawn???

Lets hear everyone's favorite jig to pitch/cast to the bank for spawning crappie. I have not did any casting during the spawn for several years. I use to do very well with a 1/8 oz ponyhead and a 3" Lucky Strike curly tail grub in White/Chart and Black/Chart. Another favorite was a Chart/Red tail Charlie Brewer slider under a small bobber. It was rigged weedless and rarely got hung up when pitching it to stickup's around the bank and twitching it back towards the boat.

    When I'm using a jig down in the timber/brush .... 1/16oz weedless ballhead w/#2 hook & a blue/char minnow shaped plastic.

When I'm casting around or over the timber/brush ... 1/16oz chartreuse marabou Roadrunner

Most often I'm casting with 6lb test Vicious Panfish hi-vis line for the weedless jighead/plastics ... and 10/2 PowerPro hi-viz braid for the Roadrunner.

    Here's the jigheads & plastic minnows I use :

Top - brush fiber style .... bottom - Y shaped plastic guard ... custom made by site member Grousefly (Paul Mullins/ P&S Custom Baits)

(plastics were formerly made by Keith Pace of Microspoons, before he went commercial. Now he isn't producing these, but I have had site member "Snake River" make me some clones that are pretty close.)

1/32 oz orange head, Berkley Power bait Nymph in burnt orange. Slaughtered em in more than several occasions off the bank. Don't know why. It seems more of a bluegill bait, but spawning crappie kill it.

1/16 oz chartreuse or orange head with lime/chartreuse, white/chartreuse or orange/chartreuse are my favorites. Also black/chartreuse and blue/white are good. Last weekend used an all glo chartreuse shad that they liked better than all others.........first time using that, won't be the last.
