That is a good looking condo did you just split the drain tile and screw it to the barrel. how much weight will it take to sink it. does it show up good on a locator. Im going to put some type of condos in Table Rock this winter and I really like the look of that one. How big is that barrel. Bugman you are a true crappi grand master for that condo design cant wait to start on making my own little honey holes on the Rock.

It is a 55 gallon barrel with the drain tile split and screwed to it i'm gonna put some big rocks in it,i would guess 50 lbs should do then bundle bamboo and wire it through the hole and hang a block off the boo where it comes out of the barrel so it wont float upward. It will show up well with the boo but i think the next one i make will be like that with the exception of no boo and two barrel's screwed together it will take longer to show up but i think it will when the alge grows to it.Right on Ed i knew i would find a use for those old hillbilly septic tanks i'm gonna get rid of that stink once and for all Randy:p

i'm not sure, but i think i've had nightmares about a creature like that. that looks like one heck of a condo. what about popping a few holes into the side of the barrel? if you are going to fill it with rocks anyway, the rock structure on the inside would provide extra nooks and cranny's to hide more tiny baitfish. not enough holes to weaken it, but 4 or 5 baseball sized holes allowing entry into the rocky center. either way, i like it.

Thats already done,i never really thought about it like that i drilled 2" holes to allow water to get in so it will sink easier but you make a good point,i think the 2" holes should work for that.

I got some screws from lowe's that are coated with a rustproof and they are supposed to last a very long time under water.
