Default Info on fishing north end of Smithville with water foul closing.

I talked to a water patrol today and drove up to w to look. You can put in at w but you must go south. Water patrol said if you put in north of the refuge and stay north your fine. She said they have buoys across the water to block off the refuge. I'm new and this was helpful to me and maybe others.

Not sure how far up you would have to go to get above it. Not much for ramps up that way unless there is more water from the way I understand it. I sure would like to fish up that way again. Maybe I can get the Bionic man to let me ride along when he blast through there

There are a couple ramps up there. O highway is small but in a great area and Arnold road is big and nice ramp to launch at.

Everything a couple miles above the W bridge and up looks good. Caught some very nice fish with DoubleD a couple years ago up river. Ready to do it again.

There is a free ramp South of plattsburg but it is shallow, Arnold road is shallow as well as O highway, I wont launch my boat at any of them . Small boats can be launch at any of them!! The bouys are at the W ramp north and just south of Linn and Roberts branch. You would be ok to put in at O highway and go a little south!

Another "Arnold Road" querry... Is that the one where you go by the old church (on the south of the road) on the way? I've only seen Kayaks launch there. Is it deeper than I thought?

I believe Arnold is off of j highway and 240th is far north where the platte feeds in . Both are very nice now that they put new rock in .. But beware 240th one with fiberglass boats .. Lots of shallow areas up there.. Arnold would be best.. Also both are on gravel roads therefore your boat can possibly need a good cleaning after driving to them.

That's O road ! And its not very deep Arnold is the one off of J that you turn on and go back around and turn on 220. Plattesburg is 240 st and yes they did work on it, it is concrete ramp but they put the wall on the wrong side and the silt is filling it back in!
