Default Hybrids at City Park Ramp

Wow!!! There was 8-10 good nice hybrids cleaned. Each fish looked to be in 8-10 lb range. Would any body in the know give up any tid bits of info of how a guy would go about catching these fish in that swift water when they happen to be running water?? We tried with some bigger grubs on road runner heads and didnt have much luck. Wondered about heavy jigging spoons but didnt have any. But I can sure see why they don't allow snagging up in there!!!!! Fish on!!!!! As one cleans off a spool of line!! Lol
    Thanks in advance!!

Jigging spoons, large plastic shad-looking baits I think, but haven't tried for them much. Sounds like you're at some kind of outlet

I will tell you they will tear up some equipment [ Bass rods/reels] and quick if you have your drag set too tight. You want it to be able to have it set just tight enough to reel your lure through the current. Those hit a lure hard. I have had them straighten and break hooks on crank baits when trolling. You can tighten your drag after you hook one. Then hang on.

Use a pretty heavy swim bait head and a swim bait with paddle tail always works best in swift water for me. I'd try the trigger x swamp chomper 4.5 inch. I'd bet you'd tear 'em up.

Oh I've got the big umbrella rigs for up on the lake didnt know if theyed werk down there or not!! And i was wondering about the big Kalins we use for that and the big sassy shad bodies. I been tossing around buyin a mold for 1/2-1oz road runner heads. Lord knows i gots plenty of lead!!
