I would bet money on them using minnows today. I got the 14' B'n'M BGJP's. A little lighter action than the Capps and Coleman's I used last year. Will be able to get down to a 1/8 and 1/4 oz jigs and minnow rigs with these. Which will be real nice when fishing real shallow. The Capps and Coleman are great rods and are perfect for 3/8 oz and probably would be ok with a 1/4 oz.
