    Default Smithville free ramp

Does it still exist? And is it even worth looking at? I've got a small tin boat on a tilt trailer, but a 2wd truck, so mudslides don't make the most ideal ramp conditions for me...

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Where exactly is it? I've scoured over every map I have (not extremely with Smithville, have only fished a handful of times, mostly when I was a kid.) Thanks!

This link shows a map of Smithville (might need to click on it to enlarge it) ..
    Smithville Lake

The free ramp is Lake Access Point #8 .. way up north off of 240th Street. If you put in up there, back straight out quite a ways from the ramp .. it's silted in all around. Lots of stumps up there too .. if you're heading south and aren't real familiar with it, definitely take your time and be careful.

Hope to hear a great report!!

Try this spot. You will need to close down the Enrich Google maps part and then underneath you will have a hot map you can zoom in and out on and pan around on. Just checked the link and that Enrich Google part did not pop up so if it doesn't then you will be ready to look around on the map. Anyhow good luck.

    Google Map Maker

Yahoo maps used to have cross hairs on their maps where one could place the cross hairs on a spot and be able to send that as a link so that someone else could see the exact spot your were talking about on a hot map that that they could move around on. But no they had to improve their maps and took that cross hair feature out of their maps. Hopefully those recently let go Yahoo employees were the ones working on improving Yahoo maps that took the cross hair feature out. Sorry about the rant but that was such a good feature on their maps and for them taking it out I only wish them the worst.

There are actually four free ramps that I know of. So if the one off 240 doesnt work you may have a few more options
