I wonder if it would reduce the wear and tear on the ceramic guides??
The only thing I have seen on it was rounder to lay on bait cast spools better and not dig in and thhe new coating is supposed to reduce line guide noise. Color retention supposed to be better to.

I've read some comments on the internet where burrs were found on some spools, which some believe has caused abrasion when spooling on the line. One guy caught this by holding the line while spooling the line.
I guess we all should be aware of checking the spools for burrs or roughness before spooling line onto a reel, regardless of the brand.
I'm almost sure you will be happy with Power Pro Slick over the regular Power Pro.
Since the lines are coated, one should be extra careful not to trim too close when tying a knot. Always check the knot after tying.
Have 2 rods rigged with the 15 pound super slick, its name fits it, much less coarse than the regular power pro and slides through the guides very smooth. The line is fairly limp but has shown to be stong. So far so good.
Sure it will be better, just bought a 500 yd spool of the regular stuff. banghead. Good thing I didn't live at the turn of the last century, would have got bought the last ticket available for the Titanic.
well since i'm down to prolly 20 yds on the regular stuff my well try it! sound's like it may just be a bit better! guess i wont know til i try
why do today what you can put off til tomorrow, go fishing instead!!!
It has a coating over it that makes it smooth!I have it on about half of my rods. I like it, but i think you lose a little sensativity.. Might be just me. I like the regular power pro myself. I do think it would cut down on the wear and tear of rod eyelets.
